Winter Wellness Day

Yoga: Wellness Day

Getting ready for 2019.

Yoga + fresh air + nourishing healthy food + workshop

This day was in that time in-between Christmas and New Year where you’ve eaten too much cheese, perhaps more sofa time than you’d like and where you have no idea what day it is. The day brushed away the cobwebs and after the Setting Intentions Workshop you left feeling positive and optimistic about the new year ahead.

In the morning yoga practice, led by Amanda, we connected to our breath, used gravity to help us open up and release any tension and holding from the fascia and then built the pace by firing up the core, stabilising ourselves for some strong balance work. It was a morning of deep grounding as Christmas can leave us feeling slightly wired. Finishing with a nourishing long Yoga Nidra practice, followed by head massages and feet massages (yes please!). Nourishing you and helping you sink further into a state of peace.

Working up an appetite for lunch, it was time to get all bundled up for our Winter walk over the edge of the Cotswolds (thanks to Arthur for leading the group). After a long walk amongst the hills of Wotton, the group was hit with the most incredible smell created by Ash at Bristol Garden Kitchen. The food was so full of flavour, tasty and delicious (for the full menu see here).

The day finished (on a full stomach) but with a Setting Intentions Workshop, where we did some deep visualisation to help you realise your true wants, desires and needs for the year ahead…

Many thanks again to all the wonderful yogis who came and gave themselves this time + space. Self-care at it’s best.
